Characteristics The Akita distillery, on the island of Honshu, is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan and extends east into the Ou Mountains the largest mountain range in Japan. It is from these mountains that etsu double yuzu gets its freshness and distinctive aromas. For seven days, traditional botanicals such as yuzu, juniper, licorice, coriander and matcha tea are steeped in the gin. Then, the gin is distilled without the herbs to allow the oils to incorporate and fresh water from the mountain is added. Balanced with citrus notes, lemony flavor and distinct yuzu with a round and fresh finish as a direct result.
