Characteristics Chairman's Reserve was first blended in 1999 under the supervision of the President of St. Lucia Distillers, Laurie Barnard, who conceived the idea of a highly premium rum, which would have in its blend both continuous still and pot still rums. The excellent result generated an unprecedented local demand which in turn brought about the expansion of the brand internationally.
