Riesling spatlese 750ml Robert Weil

Characteristics Robert Weil is a producer in Rheingau, Germany. He makes a range of varietal wines that are considered by many to be some of the best in Germany. The estate consists of 90 hectares (222 acres) of vineyards, planted entirely with Riesling. According to the German Law of 2001-02, each wine, depending on the maturity level of the grape, is given a designation. From ripe to overripe we have Kabinett, Spatlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese. Spatlese is one step above Kabinett in terms of maturity, so it is a late harvest grape. Here the fruit starts to be the first violin, while the flowers take a back seat. Because there are no words Halbtrocken or Trocken on the label, we understand that the wine is moderately sweet.
